When does the brand fee get charged?
The 12% platform fee is only charged when a shift is marked completed. If an ambassador no-shows or a shift is cancelled within policy, you're never billed.
How quickly do ambassadors get paid?
Ambassadors receive their payout within 2–3 business days after shift completion. The 8% fee is deducted automatically — no invoicing required.
Who sets the hourly rate?
You do. Brands set the rate when posting a shift. Shelvian's fees are calculated on top of whatever rate you set — ambassadors always see the full rate before accepting.
Is there a minimum shift rate?
Yes — shifts must be posted at a minimum of $18/hr to ensure fair pay standards across the network. There's no upper limit.
Are there volume discounts for brands?
For brands running 100+ shifts per month, we offer custom fee arrangements. Reach out to our sales team to discuss a tailored rate.
What if an ambassador cancels last minute?
Cancellations inside 24 hours trigger our no-show protection — we'll attempt a same-day rebook from your local area at no extra cost.
